What Others Are Saying

studio.jory.org has had the pleasure of working on a varied array of fantastic projects for some of the game, film, and music industry's greatest producers, publishers, and artists. Here's what a few of them had to say.

I used to think that there was no studio that understood that there's a lot more to recording voice-overs for games than just recording voice-overs...until I went to studio.jory.org.

  • Simon Amarasingham
  • Composer/Sound Designer, dSonic

studio.jory.org provides phenomenal service at a very reasonable cost. We completed all sessions well below the estimated time, got plenty of alts, and a bunch of pick ups - all of which were top quality. He also has this slick touch-pad interactive script/file system that I have never seen anywhere else before - I have never had it so easy keeping track of my selects or staying on the same page with the actors and director.

  • Marcus Fish
  • Project Coordinator, Totally Games

Working with studio.jory.org for the voice recording of "Bone: Out from Boneville" was a real pleasure. Jory is a professional with professional equipment, but he also has a way of putting everyone at ease while staying focused on the work at hand. His experience with voice talent helped us to get the most from our voice actors, enabling us to get ahead of schedule and make changes up to the very last minute. When it comes to studio recording, studio.jory.org is my first call.

  • Dave Felton
  • Production Lead, Telltale Games

studio.jory.org provided us with a high quality environment to create voice assets for America's Army. Their professionalism and 'can do' attitude made the sometimes tedious process more efficient, productive, and enjoyable.

  • Steve Matulac
  • Producer, Ubisoft

I first met Jory in 1999 when he joined the in-house audio team at LucasArts and have worked with him on numerous projects over the years. Since leaving to form my own game audio company in 2000, I have relied on Jory many times for a variety of tasks. His knowledge of audio and related technologies never ceases to amaze me and you will find very few people who know more than him when it comes to multi-channel audio.

  • Julian Kwasneski
  • Audio Director, Bay Area Sound

I've had the pleasure of recording two voice projects at studio.jory.org. Jory delivers the highest sound quality, and adjusts easily to on-the-fly changes. He provides an environment where actors and directors can relax and do their best work. Plus, he's an all-around great guy to work with.. I recommend Jory and his service unreservedly.

  • Greg Land
  • Lead Writer/Designer, Telltale Games

In addition to engineering all of our voice recording for the first episode of Telltale's Sam & Max series, Jory recorded all of the live instrumental tracks for my soundtrack to the game. He had the perfect mics, preamps, and space for each instrument's session, and he produced all the take tracks exactly how I needed them, making the score incredibly easy to mix. As anyone who's worked with him well knows, Jory reliably knows exactly which equipment to use for which project, and he's got it all on hand and ready to go. I can't wait to record all the upcoming episodes.

  • Jared Emerson-Johnson
  • Composer, Bay Area Sound

Jory is one of the best sound engineers, producers, and all-around tech experts I know. He was heavily relied on as a critical member of the LucasArts sound and music team, and has gone on to do a number of high-profile projects since then. I highly recommend his services.

  • Peter McConnell
  • Former Sound Development Supervisor, LucasArts

Jory's sound design and music production skills are simply amazing. He hits the creative target right away with pristine and punchy-sounding effects and music mixes. He's always on time, taking more on than you ever asked -- and with a smile.

  • Clint Bajakian
  • Composer

I've worked with Jory for many years, on a variety of projects. Whether recording foley for a feature film, wailing Hammond organ for a studio album, or a 24-track live location band recording, Jory is always my first call. Why? Because his deep knowledge in a wide variety of audio-related subjects is only superseded by his great ears, enthusiasm, good cheer, and unshakable passion for the art of recording.

  • Nick Peck
  • Supervising Sound Editor, Skywalker Sound

Jory did a terrific job in helping create characters for my short film, "For the Birds," which was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and won the Academy Award™ for Best Short Animated Film in 2002. The character voices in the film are integral to the storytelling and had to be just right. Jory worked tirelessly and diligently to create these sounds and was a complete pro and a joy to work with.

  • Ralph Eggleston
  • Director, Pixar Animation Studios

When I bring my satirical songs into the studio, there are a number of things I need. I need the state-of-the-art bells and whistles, of course, and an engineer who knows how to ring and blow them. But I also need to work with someone whose intuition for music, comedy, and drama streamlines the process. When I work at studio.jory.org, I get the bells, the whistles, the chops, the intuition, and the bagels!

  • Roy Zimmerman
  • Singer-songwriting satirist
Telltale Games'

With all the dialog recorded at studio.jory.org, Bone: The Great Cow Race is garnering excellent reviews for its voice work. Be sure to check it out!
