studio.jory.org is excited to be working with Midway on their hotly-anticipated next-gen title Blacksite: Area 51. Voice processing & mastering for 5 langauges is currently wrapping up, as the Blacksite team moves toward the release of the game.

The 2007 Independent Games Festival nominees have been announced and Bone: The Great Cow Race is up for an "Excellence in Audio" award! The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

Sam & Max hit the studio!
Holy ears in a blender full of cocktail weenies, voice actors have been coming to studio.jory.org in droves! That's right, the first episode of Telltale Games' Sam & Max games is coming out and all the dialog was recorded at studio.jory.org! Not only that, but there's an added bonus: some of the instruments in the score were also recorded live!
Yes, live drums, trumpets, and saxophones grace the soundtrack for Sam & Max and everyone is going to notice how much better the score is as a result. You can hear it for yourself on the Sam & Max MySpace page.

Telltale Games' Bone: The Great Cow Race, which was released in April, has been receiving consistently positive acclaim. Game Freaks 365 even stated that "the voice actors are top-notch, while the audio is superb."

A very special project came through studio.jory.org in February. The Best of the Foremen was certainly a treat, as principal engineer Jory K. Prum has been a long-time fan of the group since the mid-1990's.
Available from Roy's website, Best of the Foremen is sure to provide plenty of fun and laughs for those who are new to the material, as well as special unreleased tracks pulled from the vaults for the ForeHeads!

Political satirist Roy Zimmerman is back. Less than a week after sending his newest album, Peacenick, off to replication, Roy has returned to studio.jory.org to record the song-of-the-week for Weekend America's October 29, 2005 edition. Listen to "Bye-Bye, Harriet"!

Political satirist Roy Zimmerman has brought his latest two albums to studio.jory.org. The first album, Peacenick, is now available! You can order it at Roy's website. The second album, "Faulty Intelligence" will continue production, with a release in early 2006.
America's Army: Rise of a Soldier featured on O'Reilly.
O'Reilly & Associates' "Inside Game Audio" is running a story about the audio production for Ubisoft's new console title, produced by the U.S. Army, "America's Army: Rise of a Soldier". studio.jory.org recorded 15,000+ lines of dialog for the game, which is due out this fall.

Telltale Games' Bone is now available for download. The voice recording for the entire game was recorded at studio.jory.org!
The Maikai Gents finish their new album!
The Maikai Gents completed the mixing for their new vintage-sounding album Wiki Wiki Grog Shop, released at Tiki Oasis in May. The album is available both as a standard Audio CD, as well in 5.1 surround in DVD-Audio format. You can purchase a copy at the Judd's Hill website.

studio.jory.org is pleased to note that we are now in possession of a TC-Helicon VoicePro. The box, which got broken-in on Bone: Out from Boneville, does a fantastic job of manipulating voice in real-time.

Pixar's For the Birds wins an Oscar!
For the Birds, Ralph Eggleston's short film, has won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film! Jory K. Prum of studio.jory.org created the voice of the big bird for the film.

The voice of Leo, the big bird from Pixar's For the Birds, was performed by director Ralph Eggleston using a mallard duck call, and subsequently manipulated in the computer.
